The School to Work program gives students exposure to the world of work and develop job knowledge and skills in line with employer expectations.
Through various engagement opportunities, such as Structured Workplace Learning, Work Experience, Industry Tours, Mock Interviews and career immersion experiences, employers are provided the opportunity to find future employees, raise awareness of their workplace and promote employment potential to young people who are already interested in the industry. The School to Work Portal - www.workplacements.education.vic.gov.au - was established by the Department of Education and Training to provide school teachers and students with an easy to navigate, single information and referral point for a diverse range of Work Experience and Structured Workplace Learning placement opportunities as well as industry engagement and careers events. The website is searchable by industry and location.
