Sixteen Vocational Major students from St. Augustine’s College Kyabram have been actively engaged in designing promotional materials to raise awareness of We Are Vivid within the Kyabram community. Six of these students also participated in a group work experience program, shadowing the Vivid workforce.
In early May, a BBQ get-together at the Kyabram Vivid site facilitated introductions among the students. The following week, students travelled by bus to visit the Echuca Vivid site, gaining insights into the comprehensive services offered such as car washing, laundry, and cleaning services.
In late May, Vivid clients enjoyed a morning at St. Augustine’s College, observing the students engaged in wood and metalwork studies.
This 10-week project integrates Vocational Major studies focusing on literacy, personal development, and work-related skills. The students have actively collaborated with local media outlets including EM/FM radio, the Ky Free Press, and the Riverine Herald, learning about media releases to keep the community informed about their impactful initiatives.
A launch event was held at the end of June, celebrating the journey of both the students and Vivid clients over the past 10 weeks.
