We would like to introduce John Katsourakis, the newly appointed Campaspe VET Cluster Coordinator. John has lifelong experience and passion for learning and development and enabling learning opportunities for students to achieve their personal, professional and career goals. He is looking forward to working with all the key stakeholders including the local schools, the TAFEs and RTOs and local industry to identify and align the student’s interests and needs with what can be offered within the Campaspe Cluster.
John’s interests involve getting on his push bike and pounding the streets and highways of northeast Victoria, he recently completed the 40th Great Victorian Bike Ride from Wodonga to Healesville. When he is not riding round in ever increasing circles, he enjoys gardening, fishing and collecting “things”.
About the Campaspe VET Cluster Transition Program.
The Campaspe VET Cluster will seek to improve post-school outcomes for all secondary students by expanding high quality, vocational learning opportunities for these students across the cluster’s partnering schools. These vocational learning opportunities should support students to enhance their future pathways options, increase work and employability skills, foster a connection with local industry and respond to current and future local workforce needs, whilst also encouraging student engagement and retention.
The Campaspe Cluster will foster a sense of collaboration, cooperation and coordination between stakeholders to support Campaspe students’ vocational pathways.
In summary, the main purpose of the Campaspe VET Cluster is to identify the local VET learning needs, so students have accessible VET local learning pathways to careers of their choice with the opportunity to then work locally. This is achieved through effective and open collaboration between all stakeholders.
