A passionate trainer at Echuca College was the incentive for Sport & Recreation – The Tour.

Emily Bongiovanni wanted her students to experience the diversity of opportunities available to them while studying their certificate.

Sport & Recreation –The Tour started out at the Echuca War Memorial Aquatic Centre where students were Customer Service Supervisor Rishabh Kothari along with other team members gave the students an overview of all the services available at the Aquatic centre and their personal career journeys.

Students observed group fitness sessions, water aerobics, and junior swim classes and learned that often team members had dual roles such as life guarding and administration duties.

Well Soul studio really opened the students' eyes with participation in Reformer Pilates and Yoga classes. The science behind "float” tanks was discussed and students heard career journeys from team members who have multiple roles in the studio.

Next Level fitness gave a great talk on the many and varied opportunities in the gymnasium and supervised workouts on some of their incredible equipment.

The students were unable to visit the Moama Bowling Club, so the Club came to them, with the top floor of the Beechworth Bakery given over to the team from the Club to talk about the many sporting opportunities available there.

The CCLLEN organised the tour, supplied lunch at the Beechworth Bakery, fruit and water for students and transport for the day.
