2026 has seen a fantastic start for the TAC L2P Program, with strong momentum and community support driving early success. We are proud to celebrate 11 dedicated learners who have successfully graduated from the program and achieved their driver licences, marking an important milestone in their independence and opportunities ahead. We are also pleased to see continued growth in our mentor network, having already delivered two mentor training sessions this year, with strong interest from the community members keen to support local young people. It has been fantastic to welcome new volunteers who are stepping up to make a real difference by guiding learners through their driving journey. With another training session scheduled for Monday 29 June, we look forward to further strengthening our mentor base and continuing to build a supportive, community-driven program. Earlier this year, we shared a special moment with students Caitlin, Matilda and Makayla, who joined the in-school L2P program at Rushworth P-12 College, taking the exciting step of completing their very first drive lesson. The visit brought together the learners, Jahnae from Community Bank Rushworth & District, and our dedicated local mentor, Colin, highlighting the strong community spirit and partnerships that help young people gain confidence, independence and essential life skills through driving.
This occasion also reflects our ongoing partnership with Community Bank Rushworth & District, who have once again generously supported the L2P program for a further twelve months. Their continued commitment plays a vital role in ensuring local young people have safer, more equitable access to driver licensing.

During this year's National Volunteer Week, we proudly recognised and celebrated the incredible contribution of our volunteer L2P mentors. Their generosity, patience and commitment play a vital role in supporting young people with essential driving skills. Whether it is giving up their time for lessons, offering encouragement, or simply being a positive role model, our mentors truly embody the spirit of community. We extend our heartfelt thanks to each one of them for the difference they make in the lives of local young people every day.
