The Semester 1 Junior Park Rangers (JPR) Program has come to a successful conclusion, with students from St Joseph’s Primary School, Rochester Primary School, St Augustine’s College, Rushworth P-12 College, Kyabram P-12 College and Echuca Twin Rivers Specialist School participating in this exciting environmental education program.
Throughout the semester, students attended sessions on either Mondays or Tuesdays at the beautiful Kyabram Fauna Park, where they explored the natural environment, learned about native wildlife, conservation, habitat management and the important role parks play in protecting our unique ecosystems.
To celebrate their achievements, students, families and friends recently gathered at Kyabram Fauna Park for the Semester 1 Junior Park Rangers Celebration Day. The event provided an opportunity for our newest Junior Park Rangers to showcase what they had learned and accomplished throughout the program.
Students proudly shared their projects, experiences and favourite memories from the semester before taking their families on guided tours of the park. Whether introducing family members to a favourite animal, highlighting a special location within the park, or explaining a project they had worked on, students demonstrated the knowledge, confidence and enthusiasm they had developed as Junior Park Rangers.
The celebration was a wonderful opportunity for students to reflect on their learning journey while sharing their passion for the environment with those closest to them.
