We have recently updated our Environmental Scan with 2016 Census data as well as updated data from the Department of Education and Training and My School website.
The Scan highlights changes to our population and employment.
While statistics and data may not be riveting reading for everyone, there was some very interesting information revealed in collating data for the scan.
The indigenous population is involved in education at double the rate of the non-indigenous population (40% compared to 20%).
There appears to be 450 young people (aged 5 to 14) in Campaspe who are not attending school. Schools and agencies agree that this number is likely to be correct.
The size of the workforce in Campaspe is growing. This is promising for future employment, but will require skills, training and higher education to match the opportunities available.
