The Echuca Moama Beacon Foundation’s 2026 Careers Expo, held at Rich River Golf Club, welcomed over 400 students from five local secondary schools for a highly engaging day of career exploration and over 40 industry representatives, providing valuable insights into the wide range of career opportunities across the region.
Students experienced a wide range of industries, including trades, healthcare, emergency services, hospitality, business and environmental sciences. Through hands-on activities, demonstrations, and real-life career stories, presenters provided students with a clearer picture of what roles involve and the practical steps they can take now—such as selecting the right subjects, pursuing further training, or seeking work experience opportunities.
The event created a vibrant and positive atmosphere, with students showing strong engagement and curiosity throughout the day. Feedback from both students and presenters was overwhelmingly positive, highlighting the expo as an inspiring and well-organised experience that helped young people better understand their future options.
