2025 was an incredible year for the Campaspe L2P Program. We celebrated the wonderful achievement of 30 learners gaining their driver licence (a significant increase from 12 learners in 2024) and we were honoured to receive two fantastic awards at the 2025 TAC L2P Conference in November. These milestones reflect the dedication, care, and teamwork that sits at the heart of our program.
We are excited to announce a new addition to our L2P Fleet – a Mitsubishi ASX in Echuca. We extend our sincere thanks to the Moama Bowling Club for their generous sponsorship, which made this purchase possible. Their ongoing support helps us to continue to deliver a program that changes lives and strengthens our community. The new vehicle has been well received by both our learners and mentors.
A recent highlight from our program showcases the incredible impact mentors have on their learners’ journey towards independence. Mentor Shane supported his learner, Jack, in finding a safe and suitable first car, an important milestone for any young driver. Together, they explored options, weighed up what was practical and affordable, and ultimately found the right vehicle. This story is a wonderful reminder of the dedication, guidance, and genuine care our mentors bring to the program. Their support extends far beyond driving practice, helping learners build confidence, make informed decisions, and take meaningful steps into adulthood.
Our program is proud to celebrate two outstanding members of our L2P community. Our recent graduate, Jason, was awarded the Echuca Rotary Club’s Young Citizen of the Year for 2025, recognised for his remarkable resilience, determination, and commitment to building a positive future. We also congratulate our long-standing mentor, Maurice, who received a special award at the same ceremony for more than a decade of dedication to the L2P Program and the profound support he has provided to countless young learners, including Jason. Both awards are richly deserved, and we extend our heartfelt congratulations to Jason and Maurice on their inspiring achievements.
