In May, Year 9 and 10 students from various schools in Echuca Moama had the opportunity to explore the Beacon Careers Expo held at Rich River Golf Club.
This event, organized by the Beacon Foundation, marked the first in-school event of the year and aimed to assist students participating in the Real Futures program in considering their future career paths. The CCLLEN (Central Victorian Local Learning and Employment Network) provided valuable staffing and administrative support for the expo.
The Rich River Golf Club saw an impressive turnout of nearly 400 young individuals who engaged in a series of four 20-minute industry workshops, covering a diverse range of fields from the Army to Allied Health.
What makes this event truly special is the involvement of our local community. The majority of our presenters hail from the region, making it a unique opportunity for our young students to network and gain insights into the career prospects available in our area.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the nearly 100 individuals who generously contributed their time, energy, and passion to present at the expo. With a total of 55 workshops on offer, their continued support is invaluable in shaping the futures of our youth.
