Introduction to Dyslexia Workshop

This workshop, facilitated by the CCLLEN, was held in the student lounge of the Echuca Campus of Bendigo TAFE on Wednesday evening October 26^th, 2011. A large audience of teachers, parents and community members participated in author Liz Dunoon’s personal and authoritatively researched workshop that was full of practical advice. Liz, a mother to three children all with dyslexia, believes that well informed staff and parents are a child’s best chance for overcoming associated literacy and numeracy hurdles. Attendees left the workshop feeling educated, empowered and full of optimism for the future for a child or a student with dyslexia. Liz is the author of the book ‘Helping Children with Dyslexia’.
