Down to work— Working Groups at the CCLLEN

Working groups are looking at ways of increasing the employability skills of young people, increasing parent and family engagement with schools and the recruitment of new members for the CCLLEN Board.

Board members Kate Fogarty, Trish Bradley & Trish Martin, are the respective convenors of these groups.

At the first series of meetings held at St Joseph’s College on October 18th a great deal of enthusiasm and ideas for action were generated.

Organisations involved, besides the CCLLEN, included Campaspe College of Adult Education, Local Employment Training Services, Lead On, Youth Connections, Transfield Services, St Luke’s, Shire of Campaspe, Australian Industry Group, Heinz and the Murray Business Network.

The LLEN’s underlying aim is to see young people successfully transition through school and into employment, further education & training or employment. These working parties will assist with initiating and implementing relevant dynamic strategies that will enable the CCLLEN to achieve its Strategic Goals.
