Kerrie Raglus
Representing Schools
Kerrie is the full-time student pathways manager at Rushworth P-12 College, working with students in Years 10-12. Prior to this, she was the school services officer. These positions, she says, have enabled her to really get to know the students well. Strengths she brings to CCLLEN: “As a mother of four aged 14 to 22 years I am very aware of the issues and problems of youth today. I see youth who are disenchanted and disengaged and hope I can contribute insights about that. I want to focus on making sure CCLLEN’s benefits and opportunities operate across the board and throughout the outlying areas where it can be tough for kids getting part-time work, work experience and exposure to bigger industries. Helping them in this might lead to them staying in the area.” Aspirations for CCLLEN: “A fairer go for every student. We must find ways to engage youth that are not token gestures but a genuine approach. I’d like to see a welcoming, youth-friendly one-stop shop bringing all the relevant agencies together, where issues can be discussed and information about jobs shared.
